In Somalia, illiteracy levels are high and primary school enrollment is estimated to be 13.6%. Many Children in the urban and rural areas have no access to any form of education. MRDO educational program interventions reaches communities in rural and urban areas through the rehabilitation of schools, and provision of furniture and educational materials such as textbooks and Computers. MRDO assist the functioning of Primary/Secondary schools, people with disabilities, street children management Institutes and other educational institutes through workshops, seminars, trainings, and promotion of girls’ school enrollment and the provision of equipment and textbooks. This program improves educational quality and increase the student enrollment. In Hiran and most other regions in the country, there are no vocational centers to support skills training for youths to stand on their own feet and earn their livelihoods. Therefore, there is a great need for rehabilitating the vocational centers and start skills training programs. destroyed. The main objective of this project was aimed at increasing the quality of higher education in Somalia. This book donation project came into being after MRDO noticed that book reading facilities were missing in Somalia. All, the Somali institutions suffer from lack of reading materials (textbooks). MRDO has distributed Somalia minority children with text books in different areas of Hiiraan region.
