2018/2019 – Ten Shallow wells surveillance – The project goal was to have access to clean water in rural areas. This was meant to support the communities in obtaining potable water for pastoralists in MRDO target minority villages. It involved supporting the digging and construction of three water wells and the training of water committees. The activities helped in the restoration of basic services and enhanced local capacities.

MRDO have implemented twenty projects in WASH in Hiraan region in five districts including Beletweyne rural areas drilling shallow wells and boreholes among the poorest communities, pastoralists, riverine and agro pastoralists. The organization also implemented drought and floods projects supporting victims in Hiraan region by providing hygiene kits and hygiene promotion training sessions.
